Four children make a mysterious discovery on their home planet that leads them to a strange and dangerous galaxy. Jude Law in “Skeleton Crew” and other stars from a galaxy far, far away. The holographic circus that entertains Neel’s younger siblings is the same one that the Chewbacca family watches in the infamous Star Wars Holiday Special (1978). Present in AniMat’s current Crazy cartoon. Cast: Silly Old Deadly Bear (2022). Knowing that there will be a lot of hate directed at this series due to the ups and downs of the recent Star Wars series, I’m happy to say that this is an upswing. So far… The first 2 episodes aren’t new, nor are they very original, but that’s okay because they keep their promises at every point. The cast and acting are excellent, the costumes and sets are probably the best we’ve seen since Andor, the writing was good, especially the hilarious banter between the kids. Again, nothing new, but exciting nonetheless, and I can’t wait to watch more. It gives me a strong Treasure Planet vibe. As someone who didn’t enjoy the later Star Wars movies, Skeleton Crew surprised me. I hope anyone who’s even remotely interested or annoyed by the latest series will give it a try. Don’t let the “for kids” talk put you off. Star Wars is for everyone, and so is this one.
